SECURITY FORCE HEADQUARTERS (WANNI) CONDUCTED AN PAR EXCELLENCE WORKSHOP FOR THE OFFICERS
With the expansion of the Army and war commitment, most of junior officers have forgotten old customs, traditions and professional behavior. Hence it is understood that teaching of above subject is highly required. With that intention a Par Excellence Workshop was conducted from 15 and 16 February 2016 at Station Officers Mess – Security Force Headquarters (Wanni). The course had been planned according to a training package for Junior/ Middle Grade Officers aiming at grooming and developing their personal standards. \r\n\r\n37 Officers were trained mainly in Customs and Traditions in the Army, Social Etiquettes, Invitations and Acknowledgements, Ceremonials of the Army and Public Speaking. A diners club was also held, in that Brig HN Halangode (retd) RWP RSP USP USACGSC enlightened the audience on “Officering and Regimentation”. Workshop was terminated with grandiose formal dinner night where Commander Security Force (Wanni) Maj Gen MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc graced the occasion as the chief guest. \r\n
