SECURITY FORCE HEADQUARTERS (WANNI) COMMEMORATED THE 18TH ANNIVERSARY
The 18th Anniversary of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) was commemorated on 23 November 2016 with the participation of Commander, Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Major General J R Kulathunga RSP ndc psc.\r\nAs the first part of commemorating the Anniversary, a Bodhi Pooja was organized in the evening on 22 November 2016. The formal ceremony was commenced with a guard turnout and a parade of representing Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) and all Divisions by bestowing to the commander on 23 November 2016. General Officer Commanding of all Divisions, The Commander - FMA (North Central), All Brigade Commanders, large number of Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present at the occasion.\r\nLater on, The Commander marked the 18thAnniversary by planting a Sandal sapling at the camp premises. The chief guest of the commemoration gathered in a photograph with General Officer Commanding of all Divisions and all Brigade Commanders. As well as The Commander appeared on another photograph with all Staff Officers and Other Ranks in Security Force Headquarters (Wanni). In addition to that, all rank lunch was organized at the camp Auditorium and a musical program was staged in evening with the participation of Ranawiru Real Star artists. The extravaganza was colored with the performance of Army Dancing Team and the Western Musical Band of Mechanized Infantry Regiment. \r\nThe Commander along with General Officer Commanding of 56 and 61 Divisions, Senior Officers, Officers and number of Other Ranks gathered in the finale event.
