SECRETARY OF DEFENCE VISITED SECURITY FORCE - HEADQARTERS WANNI
\r\nEngineer Karunasena hettiarachchi Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Additional Secretary for the Security Defence Mrs Wasantha Perera, Commander of the Army Lieutenant General AWJC DE Silva RWP VSV USP ndu psc, Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral RC Wijegunaratne WV, RWP & Bar, RSP, VSV, USP, ndc, psn visited Security Force Headqarters (Wanni) on 13 August 2016. Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc was warmly welcomed at the Vavuniya Air Force Base by awarding a Honour Guard to Secretary of Defence with military tradition.\r\n\r\nCommander Security Force (Wanni) conducted a comprehensive briefing in related to the current land issues in the Wanni area and Commanding Officers of Navy who are serving in Wanni area also briefed their land issues as well. \r\n\r\nFinally, Secretary of Defence left his memories by signing of visitors’ book and Commander, Security Force Wanni presented them symbolic memento as a token of memory of his visit to Security Force Headquarters (Wanni). \r\n
