SCHOOL ITEMS DONATION PROGRAMME

Donation programme of school items was conducted by the troops of 543 Infantry Brigade together with 11 Battalion of Sri Lanka Artillery for students in Kattakaragaukuduiruppu Roman Catholic Tamil Mix School on 19 December 2020.

The donation was sponsored by Miss Rosie Thuring who resides in Colombo and engaged in charity works. 45 students of the school were gifted with school books including other essential items such as shoes, school bags, first aid kits and some sport items needed for the academic year 2021. The valve of donated items were approx Rs: 300,000/=. Items were distributed at a simple ceremony held in the school with the presence of the Commander 543 Infantry Brigade and Commanding Officer of 11 Battalion Sri Lanka Artillery. The event was organized by the Officers and Other Rankers of 11 Battalion Sri Lanka Artillery with the guidance of Commander 543 Infantry Brigade.
