With the blessings of Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Major General C D Ranasinghe RWP RSP and the guidance of GOC 54 Infantry Division Major General U D Wijesekara RWP RSP USP rcds psc, the programme was conducted under the 542 Infantry Brigade AOR by 8th Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, for selected 103 students of low income families in Parihikandal Government Tamil Mix School, Mannar. Children received the school items as well the dry ration packs were donated to low income families, which was patronage by businessmen in the area. The programme held on 08th January 2022 at Pariharikandal school lecture hall.
The event was graced by GOC 54 Infantry Division, Commander 542 Infantry Brigade CAO - 54 Infantry Division, Commanding Officer of 8th Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Officers, school principal and teachers.
