As pre the guidance of General Officer Commanding 65 Infantry Davison Major General E A D P Edirisinghe psc under the supervision of Command 651,652 and 653 Infantry Brigades,10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, 24 Gajaba Regiment and 17 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry the following programs were conducted on 01 October 2022 in conjunction with World Children's Day.
Distribution of school stationeries and lunch to needy students in Kaneshipuram Primary School, Vellankulam. The programme was organized by the troops of 651 Infantry Brigade and 17 (V) SLLI.
Distribution of lunch packets for 22 no of preschool children at Maran Mudali preschool in Naddankandal and Kilipan preschool in Vinayagapura. Theprogramme was organized by the troops of 652 Inf Bde.
Conducted a “Shramadana” campaign at Thachanamradamadhu Madhu preschool. The programme was organized by the troops of 653 Infantry Brigade.
The event was organized and coord by the 651, 652 and 653 Inf Bde and Command 651 Inf Bde-Brigadier KMW Bandara RSP, Command 652 Inf Bde -Brigadier WAUS Wanasekara RWP USP, Command 653 Inf Bde - Brigadier DNC Serasingha RSP USP, Civil Alfas Officer 65 Inf Div – Lieutenant Colonel JDUT Kumara RSP Sri Lanka Artillery were participated to the event and principal of the school, school children, parents and school teachers are also participated for the event.
