A sacred relic depositing ceremony at the Sanda Hiru Seya Anuradhapura took place on Poson Poya Day 12 June 2014 for commemoration the arrival of Arahath Mahinda Thero to Sri Lanka. There had also been an exposition of sacred hair relic on the same day at Anuradhapura. In parallel to the mentioned events, a rice dansela had been organized by the troops of 21 Division with the guidance and directions by the Ministry of Defence and urban Development, from 11.00 am on 12 June 2014 in front of the Sarananda Viharaya Anuradhapura and Kadala (Chick – Pea) Dansela had been held during the night.
Nearly 15000 Participants had been given the alms including priests, foreigners and Buddhist pilgrims from the rice dansela during the day time while more than 10000 parcels of Kadala were given for the people, during night. These events were conducted in the presence of the colonel admin and quartering of 21 Division, Brigade Commander of 212 Brigade, Officers and Other Ranks of the 21 Division and 212 Brigade.
