According to the direction of General Officer Commanding 65 Infantry Division Major General E A D P Edirisighepsc, troops of 65 Infantry Division renovated a part of Mankulam - Wellamkulam road with the help of Road Development Authority on 20 July 2022.
Due to the rain this road has been eroded and potholes have come up on the road in several places. Mallavi National School is located near this road and several accidents have occurred on this road due to the bad condition of road. Therefore, this road was renovated with the labor contribution and by using tractors of 65 Infantry Division with the co-operation of Road Development Authority
