RENOVATING OF A CHILDREN’S PARK IN VELANKULAM
Troops of the 61 Division marked the 68th Army Anniversary Day by contributing their service to renovate the Children’s Park close to Kovilmottei School in Velankulam.\r\n\r\nThe charitable event was organized with the supervision and guidance of the General Officer Commanding of 61 Division Major General D M S Dissanayake WWV RWP RSP USP ndu.\r\n\r\nThe Children’s Park and the garden wereabandoned for a long time and vested to the public after the renovations on 09 October 2017.\r\n\r\nThe General Officer Commanding of 61 Division made his presence as the chief guest while the Commanding Officer of Air Force Combat Training School, Deputy Director of Zonal Educational office – Vauniya, principals in nearby schools, Medical Officer of Health – Vauniya, Medical officer of Puwarasankulam Hospital, school children and parents in were being participated in the occasion.\r\n
