Renovated heavy vehicle yard of 5 SLEME, was declared opened on 17 February 2016 by the Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc. The Commander was warmly welcomed for the occasion by offering a Guard Turnout with the military traditions by the troops of 5SLEME. Thereafter, a newly constructed Commanding Officer’s Chalet was also opened and the Commander inspected 23 x tractors , 11x motor bikes, 5 x light vehicles and 2 x heavy vehicles which were repaired by 5 SLEME troops. During the visit Commander addressed the troops of 5 SLEME. The Director EME Brigadier PSRL Rajakaruna Lsc and a large number of Officers and other ranks had participated the event.
