A special Mass at Shrine of Our Lady of Madhu Church, graced by Rev Fr Ganapiragasam and several other clergies invoked blessings on the forthcoming 26th Anniversary of Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) on Saturday, 9 March 2024.
Major General W P A D W Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, Commander Security Forces (Wanni), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest together with Commander 54 Infantry Division and Senior Officers and Other Ranks attended the service.
At the outset of the ceremony symbolically blessed the Security Forces (Wanni) Flag, and blessed the Commander Security Forces (Wanni) and his troops in recognition of their dedicated commitment to the country. Around the same time, prayed for the souls of fallen War Heroes and simultaneously invoked blessings on all Army War Heroes under rehabilitation and recuperation after they sustained permanent injuries. The clergy appreciated the Army’s commendable roles in their brief prayer
Towards the end of the service, Commander Security Forces (Wanni) made a financial contribution to the Church as a token of appreciation of their religious services being rendered by the Church for promotion of spiritual values, reconciliation and peace among the public.
