The Panichchankulam lake bund in Pampamadu agrarian services department, 218 G Kandapuram Grama Niladhari division was damaged due to heavy rainfall on 09th November 2023. There are 15 acres of land, which is cultivated and sustained by this tank, and it is an important fact to repair the damaged bund for cultivation purpose. With the guidelines of the Brigade Commander 563 Infantry Brigade Col YMSCB Jayathilake RSP USP and the Commanding Officer 7 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Major DMJA Dasanayake RSP USP, 01 X 25 of troops, participated for this repair work were able to reconstruct the tank bund in at a very short time. Villagers were highly appreciated for this dedicated service to the troops of Sri Lanka Army.
