REAPING CEREMONY OF PADDY HARVEST AT 56 INFANTRY DIVISION

The reaping ceremony of paddy harvest in “Yala” Season started with combination of Hindu, Buddhist traditional with religious rituals by General Officer Commanding of 56 Infantry Division, Major General S Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc. This 4 acres of paddy fields were cultivated with early maturing varieties few months ago under the instructions of General Officer Commander. The foremost share of paddy was kept at same place by wishing better yielding.

Furthermore, harvest will be sold to army members at affordable prices. General Officer Commanding of 56 Infantry Division, Dy General Officer Commander, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks appeared for the event.
