“ONMART Welfare Canteen” was established in the year 2011 in the Thandikulam area next to A9 road as a major income project of the 56 Infantry Division which provides food and other essential items for concessionary rates for Army personnel, civilians in the area and local and foreign travelers which is open from 0700 hrs to 2200 hrs every day. It was renovated as a modern Café and as “ONMART Café and Mini Super” and declared opened by the General Officer Commanding of 56 Infantry Division, Major General H G P M Kariyawasam RSP ndc psc IG on Wednesday. 19 April 2023.Further, a cross section of officers and other rankers of the 56 Infantry Division participated in the opening ceremony.
