PROVISION OF WATER TO CIVILIANS DURING THE MOVEMENT RESTRICTED PERIOD

Troops of 11 GW under command to the 623 Infantry Brigade distributed drinking water for families in Uchchalkaddi village due to travel restrictions imposed at present. This programme was conducted as per the instructions of General Officer Commanding 62 Infantry Division, Major General D P Upali Gunasekera RWP USP.

Troops under command to 62 Infantry Division conducted and awareness programme in collaboration with government health authorities in area to educate the public on preventive measures against the rapid spread of Covid 19. The announcement was made in the area using mobile patrols with regard to the prevention guidelines and instruction for the public. The programme was conducted under the supervision of Brigadier G Prabath Kodituwakku RWP RSP Commander 623 Brigade.
