PROGRAMMES CONDUCTED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 12TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE 541 INFANTRY BRIGADE

The 12th Anniversary Celebration of 541 Infantry Brigade was traditionally held on 10th September 2022 as per the direction of Brigadier M A D S Munasinghe RWP RSP psc IG. As the first segment of the ceremony, the Brigade Commander reviewed the Guard Turnout presented on arrival at the Headquarters premises and the he was welcomed by the Commanding Officer of 12 (V) SLA.

Subsequently, Kohomba sapling was planted the premises of Headquarters office complex followed group photograph, troop address and all rank tea organized at the Other Ranks’ Mess at 541 Infantry Brigade.

Along with this, a Bodhi Pooja was held on 08.09.2022 and a Pooja was held at Thirukaedeshwaram Temple, Mannar on 09.09.2022. Also, a rhythmic music concert was held for the entertainment of the fellows and in conjunction with the anniversary, a renovated toilet was constructed for Ramasamy Jay Ranjan, a rehabilitated LTTE member at Sinna Sannar, resident of Periyamadu, Mannar, who has lost his legs due to the war. Books, bags and other school equipment donated to his two children and two crutches were donated to the disabled person.
