According to the concept of “The Second Coconut Triangle to North”, with the instructions given by the Commander - Security Force Wanni and guidance of General Officer Commanding - 56 Infantry Division Major General S Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc and Commander - 562 Infantry Brigade Brigadier TMSJ Thennakoon RWP, Commanding Officer 17 (V) SLLI battalion Major HMJ Premathilaka RSP organized planting of coconut sapling programme on 08th April 2024 at land of 02 acres which is belong to Mr. Weerabhahu Gnanaprakash in Pampaimadu GS division and preparing of land and planting of coconut sapling was conducted by the soldiers of 17 (V) SLLI battalion.
The Commanding Officer 17 (V) SLLI Major HMJ Premathilaka RSP graced the occasion. Senior Officers/ Officers and ORs of the battalion and owner of the land participated for the programme and given his fullest support to success the event.
