Under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (Wanni) Major General k M P S B kulatunga RSP ndc psc and on the instructions of the General Officer Commanding, 21 Infantry Division, the Dengue Eradication Programme was conducted on 09 July 2025 in conjunction with the “Clean Sri Lanka” initiative. The programme was implemented under the direct supervision of the Commander, 212 Infantry Brigade, with the participation of troops from the 212 Infantry Brigade and the 2 Engineer Services Regiment.
This programme was carried out within the 212 Infantry Brigade’s area of responsibility, covering the following selected schools: Galkiriyagama Central College, Galkiriyagama Primary School, Madatugama Primary Muslim School, Bodhiraja Primary School Kalundegama, Thalawa Panasara Primary School, Walisinha Harischandra Vidyalaya, St. Joseph’s College, K.B. Ratnayake National School, and Mahinda Primary School. It actively involved schoolchildren and their parents, aiming to prevent the spread of dengue and chikungunya under the leadership and supervision of the Army.
