PREGNANT WOMEN GIVEN ESSENTIALS BY 56 INFANTRY DIVISION

Commemorating the importance of the ‘Vesak Poya’ Day, troops of 563 Infantry Brigade with the financial support of Miss Oshadhi Athukorala coordinated by CAO 563 Inf Bde Lt Col DR Tharukarathna SLNG, donated a large consignment of essential goods and baby requirements for pregnant women in Vavuniya area on 23 may 2024 at Omanthai Central College on account of the Poya day.

The event was organized on instructions of Commander 563 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier YMSCB Jayathilake RSP USP and General Officer Commanding 56 Infantry Division Major General S Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc graced the occasion, which enabled the distribution of essential items among 20 pregnant women in the area.

Brigade Commander 563 Infantry Brigade Brigadier, Brigade Commander 561 Infantry Brigade (Overlooking) Colonel RSC Dissanayake RSP, senior officers, officers, omantha divisional midwife attended for the event.
