All ranks of 621 Brigade had organized several events to mark the “Poson Full Moon Poya” day. Events included in the program were opening of “Bodi Prakaraya,”“Poson Bakthi Gee”, “Rice Danasala and Ice Cream Dansala” and “Display of Poson Lanterns.” Around eight thousand participated from former border villages such as, GAJABAPURA, MONARAWEWA, EHATUGASWEWA, NIKAWEWA, SAMPATHNUWARA, KALYANIPURA, WELIOYA, PADAVIYA, PARAKRAMAPURA, JANAKAPURA, HELAMBAWEWA. Furthermore, all Government officials in the area too, participated the event. Event provided an opportunity for the Welioya and Padaviya villagers to celebrate Poson Poya with devotion and to enjoy the tasty food while getting away from their tedious life. GOC 62 Div, Brig A Athla Kodippili graced the occasion as the chief guest on the invitation of the 621 Bde Comd Col I H M N N Herath.
