POSON BHAKTHI GEE PROGRAM ‘POSON UDAVAI DAHAM AMAVAI’
According to the concept of the Commander Security Force (Wanni) a Poson Bakthi Gee recital ‘Poson Udavai Daham Amavai’ organized by the Security forces Headquarters (Wanni) was held at the school play ground of Swarnapalee Convent Anuradhapura on 17 June 2014 as one of series of events organized to commemorate the arrival of Arahath Mahinda Thero to Sri Lanka. This event was successfully conducted with the instructions and guidance of the Chief incumbent of Atamasthana, Ven. Pallegama Siriniwasa Thero and the chief prelate of Sri Sambuddha Jayanthi Viharaya Ven. Sri Sobhitha Rathana Jothi thero.
The occasion was graced by the priests from three main religions including the Chief incumbent of Atamasthana, Ven. Pallegama Siriniwasa Thero, the chief prelate of Sri Sambuddha Jayanthi Viharaya Ven. Sri Sobhitha Rathana Jothi thero and as the chief guest The Commander Security Force (Wanni), Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, and Competent Authority for Displaced Personnel in the Northern Province Major General M H S B Perera RWP RSP ndu psc and Government officers of the area, Senior Army officers and officers. The Bethi Gee Group of Sri Seelananda Damma School Pannala and The Army band presented more than 25 recitals. There were large number of Army personnel and more than thousands of civilians among the participants.
In parallel with the Bakthi gee recital a Poson lanterns exhibition and a rice dansela were conducted at the same place in the evening. More than two thousands people enjoyed the meals at the Dansela.
