OPENING REMARKS OF RECRUITS TRAINING AT BATTALION TRAINING SCHOOL AT MULANKAVIL

With the blessing and guidance of Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil, in line with the Sri Lanka Army Way Forward Strategy - 2025 Island wide recruitment programme was initiated to enlist 35000 numbers of tradesmen and non-tradesmen to the Sri Lanka Army Regular and Volunteer forces in year 2021. Coincide with this, under the direction of Commander Security Force (W) first ever recruit course with 288 newly recruited soldiers was started training at the Battalion Training School - 65 Division Mulankavil.

As of that, 11 x recruits of Sri lanka Army Mechanized Infantry Regiment, 103 x recruits of Sri lanka Army Commando Regiment, 109 x recruits of Sri Lanka Army Special Forces, 54 x recruits of Military Intelligence Corps and 11 x recruits of Sri Lanka Army National Guard started their training at the 65 Infantry Division Battalion Training School at Mulankavil.

With the supervision of General Officer Commanding 65 Infantry Division, Opening remarks of the Recruit Course No1 was held on 27 April 2021 at BTS - MLK and Commander 651 Inf Bde, Brigadier Wasantha Bandara RSP made opening remarks as the Chief Guest to the Ceremony.
