NEWLY CONSTRUCTED HOUSES WERE HANDED OVER TO THE LOW INCOME FAMILIES IN 212 AOR IN COMMEMORATION OF 72ND ARMY DAY

Community Development Programme launched by troops under Command to 212 Infantry Brigade and handed over newly constructed two houses to the low income two families of Mr DM Shantha in Moragollagama, Kekirawa and Mr. A Ravindra Ranasinghe in Ruwangama, Thanthirimale in commemoration of 72nd Army Day programme on 11 October 2021.

This project was coordinated by Commander Armour Brigade, Brigadier P A M Peiris RSP USP and Rev. Ududumbara Sobitha Thero, under the guidance of GOC 21 Infantry Division Maj Gen W R M M Rathnayaka RWP RSP ndu and supervision of Commander 212 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier R P A R P Rajapaksha RSP. Houses were constructed by troops of 7 (V) SLAC and 5 (V) SLNG.

Commander Armour Brigade, Brigadier P A M Peiris RSP USP and CCCA of SF HQ (Wanni) Lt Col D B R E W M M W N K Madugalla participated as the Chief Guest of those ceremonies. The main financial sponsors were Mr. Rasith Manathunga and Rev. Ududumbara Sobitha Thero also participated in handing over the keys to the beneficiary along with Commanding Officers 7 (V) SLAC and 5 (V) SLNG and Civil Affairs Officer 212 Infantry Brigade. A limited number of invitees attended the house warming ceremony adhering to the Covid - 19 health protocols.
