A NEWLY CONSTRUCTED HOUSE WAS HANDED OVER TO THE LOW INCOME FAMILY IN BOGASWEWA IN COMMEMORATION OF 72ND ARMY DAY

Community Development Programme launched by Commander Security Force (Wanni) Maj Gen D M H D Bandara RWP RSP USP, handed over a newly constructed house to a low income single parent family of Ms J M S Jayalath and two Children who are differently able and resides in 19th Lane, Bogaswewa in commemoration of 72nd Army Day programme on 25 September 2021. This project was coordinated by Maj Gen A M R Dharmasiri (Rtd) ndu psc, under the guidance of GOC 56 Infantry Division and supervision of 563 Infantry Brigade. The newly build house was constructed by 7 SLSR.

General Officer Commanding 56 Infantry Division Maj Gen U U K L S Perera RWP RSP USP psc participated as the Chief Guest of this ceremony. The main financial sponsors were Mr Dammika Artigala, Chairman Lanka Automobile Association and the Director Board participated in handing over the keys to the beneficiary along with representatives of Director Board, Commander 563 Infantry Brigade Brig K P A Perera RSP, CCCA SF (Wanni) Lt Col D B R E W M M W N K Madugalla, CAO 56 Infantry Division Lt Col W K A S Priyanthalal RWP RSP and Commanding Officer 7 SLSR Maj M A J M Perera RWP RSP psc. A limited number of invitees attended the house warming ceremony adhering to the Covid - 19 health protocols.
