A NEWLY CONSTRUCTED HOUSE WAS HANDED OVER TO THE LOW INCOME FAMILY IN 244 ASIKULAM, VAVUNIYA

Community development programme launched by Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Major General C D Ranasinghe RWP RSP, handed over a newly constructed house to a low income single parent family of Mrs Mohanraj Maheswari who resides in Asikulam, Vavuniya on 14 January 2022. This project was coordinated by Commander 562 Infantry Brigade Brigadier A M S Premawansa RWP RSP USP, under the guidance of General Officer Commanding 56 Infantry Division and supervision by 562 Infantry Brigade. The newly build house was constructed by troops of 17 (V) Sri Lanka Singha Regiment.

Commander Security Forces (Wanni) Major General C D Ranasinghe RWP RSP participated as the Chief Guest of this ceremony. The main financial sponsor was Mr Mahendraraja Mayoorathan Director Safteey Credit (Pvt) Ltd and Safteey Gun Care (Pvt) Ltd, Vavuniya participated in handing over the keys to the beneficiary along with his beloved wife Mrs Mayoorathan, Commander 562 Infantry Bridge Brigadier A M S Premawansa RWP RSP USP, Colonel General Staff 56 Infantry Division Colonel K P P Karunanayake, Civil Affairs Officer 56 Infantry Division Lieutenant Colonel W K A S Priyanthalal RWP RSP, Civil Affairs Officer Security Forces (Wanni) Lieutenant Colonel K D H M W J K Herath, Commanding Officer 17 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Major H K Kumarasiri, Grama Niladhari, Development Officer, Samuddhi Officer of Asikulam GN Division Army Officers, Other Ranks, Police Officers and limited number of invitees attended for the house warming ceremony adhering to the Covid - 19 health protocols.
