A NEWLY CONSTRUCTED HOUSE WAS HANDED OVER TO THE LOW INCOME FAMILY IN 212 INF BDE AOR IN COLLABORATION WITH “JAWAYATA SAVIYA” FOUNDATION

Community Development Programme launched by troops under Commands to 212 Infantry Brigade handed over a newly constructed house to a low income family of Mrs DM Kumuduni Disanayake in Lunuwewa, Thambuththegagama with collaboration with “JAWAYATA SAVIYA” Foundation on 18 October 2021.

This project was coordinated by Member of Parliament Mr. Uddika Pemarathna, and under the guidance of GOC 21 Infantry Division Maj Gen W R M M Rathnayaka RWP RSP ndu and supervision of Commander 212 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier R P A R P Rajapaksha RSP. The newly build houses was constructed by troops of 7 (V) SLAC with close supervision of Commanding Officer Lt Col L R Amarasekara.

Representing the GOC 21 Infantry Division, Commander 211 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier N C S R Senarathna RWP RSP participated as the Chief Guest of this ceremony. The main financial sponsor was Member of Parliament Mr. Uddika Pemarathna also participated in handing over the key to the beneficiary along with Commanding Officer 7 (V) SLAC and Civil Affairs Officer 212 Infantry Brigade and a limited number of invitees and sponsors attended the house warming ceremony adhering to the Covid - 19 health protocols.
