THE NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDER SECURITY FORCE (WANNI) COMMENCED HIS OFFICIAL VISITS

The Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General JMUD Jayasinghe made his frits official visit to 54 Division and its under command formations on 23 May 2020.

Security Force Commander was warmly welcomed by General Officer Commanding Major General AAIJ Bandara RWP RSP USP ndu. To the 54 Division and a comprehensive briefing was dune in relevance of the Operational and Administrational tasks carried out by 54 Division.

Afterwards, Commander Security Force (Wanni) paid his courtesy for Arch Bishop Mannar Rev Fr Dr. Emmanuel Fernando at the Arch Bishop House Mannar.

A tree planting programme was organized by the 542 Bde at Wilpaththu area and further donating of dry ration and School items to villages were also held parallel the event silawathura area.

After that Commander Security Force (Wanni), Major General Dammika Jayasinghe visited the 7 VIR, 8 VIR and the Bde HQ of 542 Brigade.

General Officer Commanding 54 Division, Brigadier General Staff SFHQ (Wanni), Commanders of 541, 542, 543 and 544 Bde’s and Bn Command’s of 54 Div attended in the visits.
