Newly built three houses were handed over ceremonially for three families in Veherathenna village on 11th April 2014. The houses were constructed with the donation by the chairman of Ceylon Cold Stores PLC Mr J I T Gunarathna & his family members. The total cost of each house is around three hundred and thousand rupees. Every house is facilitated with two rooms, a toilet & electricity. The construction was be able to complete successfully with the instruction of the Commander Security Force (Wanni), Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and Competent Authority for resettling internal displaced personnel in the Northern Province Major General M H S B Perera RWP RSP ndu psc and 623 Brigade conducted the project with the construction help of 26 SLSR, 11 GW and 17 SLNG battalions. General Officer Commander 62 Division Brigadier KGD Perera RWP RSP IG and Brigade Commanders of 621 and 622 Brigade also participated the presented ceremony.
