Major General WPADW Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu of the Sri Lanka Army, Sinha Regiment assumed office as the 37 General Officer Commanding of the 21 Infantry Division, under the Security Force Headquarters – Wanni, amid religious blessings and formalities at the Division Headquarters atRanasewapura, Anuradhapura on 22 March 2023.
The newGeneral Officer Commanding was warmly welcomed by Brigade Commanders, Staff Officers and bestowed with a Guard Turnout anda Guard of Honour as the military traditions.
The segments of the day included the Planting a Sapling, Troop address and All Rank tea at the Division Headquarters. During the Troop address General Officer Commanding emphasis the tremendous effort done by the Sri Lanka Army in the war and peace time and the significant of the commitment and the dedications of all ranks with maintaining of high standard military discipline in order to enhance the image of the Army within general public.
Brigade Commanders of under command Brigades, all Staff Officers of the 21 Infantry Division, Commanding Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present during the day's event.
