MILITARY FAREWELL HELD AT 62 INFANTRY DIVISION FOR OUTGOING GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING

The 62 Infantry Division formally held the farewell ceremony for outgoing General Officer Commanding, Major General Janaka Ranasinghe on 14 August 2023 with military honour.

A Guard Turnout, Awarded to the outgoing General Officer Commanding at the entrance greeted him on arrival and then he was invited to review the Guard of Honour. After that a group photograph was taken in front of the Headquarters office complex. The General Officer Commanding, 62 Infantry Division addressed the troops, where he offered his sincere gratitude to all ranks served in division headquarters. Thereafter, all rank tea was arranged for the outgoing General Officer Commanding. Towards the end of the day's farewell Programme, gave away a token of appreciation to the outgoing General Officer Commanding for his inspiration, guidance and methodical command as the General Officer Commanding, the 62 Infantry Division.
