A Medical Campaign (Clinic) was organized for the villagers on 15 Jan 2014 from 0830 hrs at City Public Hall of Helambewewa by Lion Club Colombo and Maha Boodhi Society at Helambewewa in Janakapura GS Division under the Welioya Regional Secretarial division in Mulathiv District, Around 350 civilians had participated for this event and the value of distributed medicine is about Rs.350.000.00 Further, 03 foot bicycles worth of each Rs.12,000.00 for 03 children from very poor and helpless families in Helambawewa, a wheel chair worth of Rs. 14,000.00 a disable person from Kiriibbanwewa, School Stationery for 25 Per-school children, worth of each Rs.500.00 and a television worth of Rs.31,000.00 for the Pre school and Rs.25,000.00 for buying block cement manufacturing materials had been given away. The president of the Lion Club and 40 lions, 05 doctors civil Co-coordinating Officer of 622 Bde Lt Col M P S Srikantha SLASC. 2nd in Command of 9 GR Maj Malaka Disanayaka GR and large number of villagers had been participated for the event.
