MEDAWACHCHIYA LIONS CLUB ORGANIZED A MEDICAL CAMPAIGN
622 Bde organized a medical campaign followed by an opening of water purification filter for the welfare of villagers. Both events were funded by kidney care lions club Medawachchiya. Rs. 500000.00 worth water purification pump was declare opened by district governor of the lions club Mr. Singha Ranjith Premalal. Rs.106000.00 rupees worth spectacles were distributed among 106 villagers selected at the eye clinic. Rs.14000.00 rupees worthy school items were distributed among preschool children. Urine test was conducted for 87 villagers for identifying kidney failure. Legal advice was given for 12 villagers by veteran lawyers during the event. Civil affairs officer of 62 Division, Civil Affairs Officer of 621 Brigade, and Brigade Major of 622 Brigade attended and supervised the smooth functioning of the event.
