The Mannar Poson Peace Zone was commenced on 21, 22 and 23 June 2024 at ThalladtyJuncti on beside of the Headquarters 54 Infantry Division, the event was conducted under the instruction an guidance of the Commander Security Forces (Wanni), Major General WPADW Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu and the supervision of General Officer Commanding 54 Infantry Division, Major General MTI Mahalekam WWV RWP RSP USP ndu psc.The event was made possible through the commitment and contribution of the Brigade Commanders of the 541, 542, and 543 Infantry Brigades, all Battalion Commanders, and the dedication of all soldiers under the 54 Infantry Division. The event was organized on a grand scale and featured the participation of local clergy, heads of government institutions, and officers from the navy and police. The event included attractive Poson lanterns, a replica of Mihintale, a colorful pandal, a Bakthi Gee Sarani and a Poson Dansala. A large number of people from all ethnicities and religions participated in this three-day event.
