MAJOR GENERAL WLPW PERERA RWP RSP ndu ASSUMED OFFICE AS THE 21st COMMANDER FOR SECURITY FORCE (WANNI)

A dignified formal ceremony was taken place to mark the assuming of the office of newly appointed Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General WLPW Perera RWP RSP ndu on 23 Oct 2020 as the 21st Security Force Commander.

As the first segment of the ceremony, the newly appointed Commander of Security Force (Wanni) was accorded with a Guard Turnout at the entrance to the premises of Headquarters Security Force (Wanni). Then he paid the tribute to fallen war heroes by laying a floral wreath to the monument at the SFHQ premises. Later on the ceremony was colored grandly with a Guard of Honor accorded by the troops of 11 GW for the newly appointed Commander, Security Force (Wanni).

Thereafter the newly appointed Commander Major General WLPW Perera RWP RSP ndu planted a mango sapling in front of the Headquarters Office Complex to mark the assuming of office and auspiciously took over the duties amid the religious observances. Subsequently he joined for an all rank tea party organized at the Other Ranks’ Mess at SFHQ Wanni.

Commander FMA (N/C),General Officers Commanding of all Inf Divisions, Senior Officers of SFHQ (Wanni), Officers and number of NCOs were present to pay their respect to the newly appointed Commander Security Force (Wanni).
