MAJOR GENERAL MHSB PERERA BIDS FAREWELL TO SECURITY FORCE WANNI
Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc , Commander, Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) with an incomparable service spanning more than four years, relinquished the office on Saturday (05).\r\n\r\nA series of formalities, held at the Security Force Headquarters (Wanni), in connection with the relinquishment of the appointment commenced with the reviewing of addressing all officers in Wanni, Area of Responsibility. This was held at the auditorium in the Headquarters. General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 21 and 54 Divisions were present along with a large gathering of Senior Officers and Officers.\r\n\r\nAddressing the officers at the Security Force Headquarters (Wanni), the outgoing Commander thanked his staff and everyone for all the generous support, extended to him during the office spanning of four years.\r\n\r\nAfter addressing the officers the outgoing Commander participated in the opening ceremony of newly constructed Major General Boniface Perera Integrated Sports Entertainment and Facility Complex in the camp premises and large number of Other Ranks who represent different establishments under the Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) gathered in this occasion. \r\n\r\nAs well as hundreds of civilians in Sulubuluwewa village came to pay the final salute to their guardian. The outgoing Commander addressed the troops after the religious observances which were conducted by ‘MahaSangha’. Later on the Commander entertained by watching a film with all the participants in the newly inaugurated open arena.\r\n\r\nAs the next segment of the series of formalities, the commander sat for a lunch with all ranks in Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) at the auditorium on 04 November 2016.\r\n\r\nIn addition to that Officers of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) organized a farewell at the officers’ mess on same day evening and a memento in appreciation of his valuable service rendered to the Security Force –Wanni was presented, followed by the address of Brigadier General Staff.\r\n\r\nThe series of formalities reached the culmination with the departure of the outgoing Commander, from the office and all officers wish him all the very best for his future endeavors.\r\n
