Major General L D S S Liyanage RSP USP psc Hdmc assumed duties as the 26th General Officer Commanding of 56 Infantry Division on 20 December 2021 at the headquarters 56 Infantry Division, Kokeliya, VAVUNIYA with the blessing of Maha Sanga.

To mark important event all Staff Officers of 56 Infantry Division and other ranks belongs to the Division have participated in this occasion.
