A dignified formal ceremony was taken place to mark the assuming of the office as the 22nd General Officer Commanding of 56 Division Major General KWR De Abrew RWP RSP USP psc Hdmc with the blessings of Maha Sanga on 23 July 2020 at the Headquarters of 56 Division, Kokeliya, Vavuniya.

Brigade Commanders of 561, 562, 563 and the Staff Officers of 56 Div, all under command Commanding Officers and Other Rankers from were present at this event to pay their greetings to the newly appointed General Officer Commanding.
