MAJOR GENERAL JMUD JAYASINGHE ASSUMES OFFICE AS THE 20TH COMMANDER SECURITY FORCE (WANNI)

A dignified formal ceremony was taken place to mark the assuming of the office of new Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General JMUD Jayasinghe on 21 May 2020 as the 20th Security Force Commander.

As the first segment of the ceremony, the newly appointed Commander of Security Force (Wanni) was accorded with a Guard Turnout at the entrance to the premises of Headquarters Security Force (Wanni). Later on, he paid the tribute to fallen war heroes by laying a floral wreath to the monument at the SFHQ premises.

Thereafter the newly appointed Commander Major General JMUD Jayasinghe auspiciously took over duties amid the religious observances. Subsequently he planted a mango sapling in front of the Headquarters Office Complex to mark the assuming of office and then joined for an all rank tea party organized at the Other Ranks’ Mess.

General Officers Commanding of all Divisions, Commander FMA (N/C), Senior Officers of SFHQ (Wanni), Officers and number of Other Ranks were present to pay their respect to the newly appointed Commander Security Force (Wanni).
