MAJOR GENERAL BONIFACE PERERA VOLLEYBALL COURT WAS CEREMONIALLY OPENED

The newly constructed Volleyball Court Complex was declared open by the Commander Security Force Headquarter (Wanni) Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc on 22 September 2016 in the camp premises of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni).\r\n\r\nSplendid opening ceremony included Inter Divisional Volleyball Tournament which organized by the 56 Division with the coordination and fullest support of the Security Force Headquarters (Wanni).\r\n\r\n4 (V) SLAWC emerged as the Wanni Inter Regiment women’s Volleyball Champions for the year 2016. They beat 2(V) SLAWC team during the finals after a close battle.\r\n\r\nPte Fernando WASU of 4 (V) SLAWC was adjudged as the best competitor in the Tournament .The Finale of Men’s competition was hold between FMA (N/C) and 21 Division Volleyball teams. After a close battle 21 Division became the Champions of Inter Divisional Volleyball Tournament 2016.\r\n\r\nTrooper Ilangarathne IPS of 21 Division was awarded as the best competitor of the Tournament. The ceremony was brightened with two dancing sessions with the participation of the dancing team of 2 (V) SLAWC.\r\n\r\nFinally, an Exhibition Match was also played between Sri Lanka Army and Sri Lanka Air force Volleyball teams and Sri Lanka Army Volleyball team won the Match.\r\n\r\nCommander Security Force (Wanni) Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc graced the final presentation ceremony as the Chief Guest and awarded the certificate and trophies.\r\n\r\nWhilst addressing the ceremony Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc stated the importance of the sports.\r\n\r\nAlong with the Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc, GOCs, Bde Comds, COs, officers and large number of ORs attended the ceremony. The Commander of 56 Division Brigadier IP Ranasinghe RWP RSP psc gave away the thanking speech concluding a very successful event.
