Lieutenant to Captain Refresher Course Launched at Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni)

Ahead of the 2025 Lieutenant to Captain Examination, a comprehensive refresher course commenced at the Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) on 19 May 2025. The intensive week-long programme, concluding on 25 May 2025, is designed to equip officers with essential skills and knowledge for career advancement.

Colonel K J Ranaweera RWP RSP idu psc Isc Colonel General Staff (Col GS) of Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni), delivered the opening address, underscoring the course’s significance in fostering leadership and operational excellence. A total of 40 candidates are participating in the training initiative.

The programme organise and conducted as per the directions given by the Directorate of Training and conducted under the close supervision of the Commander, Security Forces (Wanni), the course aligns with strategic directives to enhance professional development within the armed forces. The programme emphasises tactical proficiency, command responsibilities, and contemporary military challenges, ensuring officers are fully prepared for the forthcoming promotion examination.
