KANNAGI AMMAN KOVIL – WATTAPPALAI HOLLY FESTIVAL

The annualholly festival of Kannagi Amman Kovil - Wattappalai was commenced on 20 May 2024 and it terminated on 21 May 2024, approximately 500000-600000 devotes participated for the Kannagi Amman Kovil – Wattappalai ceremony. As per the direction of the commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General WPADW Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu and under the guidance and instructions of the General Officer Commanding 59 Infantry Division Major General WMPM Wejasooriya RWP RSP ndu the commander 591 Infantry Brigade Brigader MJ Ubesekara RSP psc and under command units Cos provided security, medical facilities and install huts inside the Kovil area as per the requirement of the Kovil committee.
