KAHAPATHWILAGAMA SCHOOL GETS A NEW BUILDING

A group of doctors of Pera Medico Association – 80/90 in collaboration with troops under 21 Division vested the newly constructed building for students at Kahapathwilagama School on 30 November 2018.

Kahapathwilagama School is one of the oldest government schools located in Mihintale administrative area with having minimum infrastructure facilities for number students undergoing their primary and secondary education.

After witnessing the difficulties facing by students, doctors of Pera Medico Association voluntarily supported in constructing a 20 x 40 large building under the educational development projects launching in Wanni initiated with the supervision of Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Kumudu Perera RWP RSP VSV USP ndu.

Constructions of the building were carried out by 2 Engineers Services Squadron with the assistance of troops under 7 (V) Sri Lanka Armoured Corps and it was completed within a short period of time by saving a large amount of money because of the untiring effort contributed by Army troops under the guidance of the Commander 212 Brigade Brigadier M P Lamahewa and with the supervision of General Officer Commanding of 21 Division Brigadier Kumar Jayapathirana RSP.

The newly constructed building was declared opened by General Officer Commanding of 21 Division Brigadier Kumar Jayapathirana RSP along with the President of Pera Medico Association – 80/90 Dr. Dhammika Sedara.

The Commander 212 Brigade, doctors representing Pera Medico Association – 80/90, Senior Officers of 21 Division and its under command formations, teachers and students of Kahapathwilagama School were present at the occasion.
