A workshop on Military in Internal Security Operations (MISO) was conducted by a team of International Committee of the Red Cross during 03 and 04 December 2019 at Headquarters Security Force (Wanni).
This workshop is one of the series of programmes conducted by Directorate of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.
Over 20 Officers representing each under command formation to Security Force (Wanni) actively took part in this programme and got a valuable experience through several lecture sessions conducted by visited intellectuals.
The programme was comprised of several lecture sessions on ICRC role, Mandate and Activities in Sri Lanka, Transition from Armed Conflict to Law Enforcement, International Norms and Standard guiding the Exercise of Law Enforcement Powers, Post conflict IHL, etc.
