While performing prime role and task to the nation, Army needs to streamline sports activities to inculcate comradeship, determination, courage and discipline in moulding a professional soldier. In view of the above, according to the annual sports calendar of the Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni), the Inter Division Elle Tournament was held from 09, 10 and the final matches were held on 11 May 2018 at the Mahaweli Public Ground in Sampathnuwara.
Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni), 21, 54, 56, 61, 62 Divisions, Forward Maintenance Area (North Central), 2 (V) Sri Lanka Aarmy Women’s Corps and 4 (V) Sri Lanka Aarmy Women’s Corps participated in the tournament. 56 and 62 Divisions selected for the final match and the team of 56 Division emerged as the Champions while 62 Division was awarded as the Runners up. 4 (V) Sri Lanka Aarmy Women’s Corps selected as the champion women’s corps battalion.
