Series of tournament conducted in between the under command divisions of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) came to the end with the grand finals ‘Inter Divisions Elle Championship Wanni 2014’ held on 24 September 2014 at the 3rd Commando Regiment playground. The Elle teams of 56 and 61 Divisions contested for the Championship and 61 Division was shot out by the 56 Division and won the Inter Divisions Elle Championship 2014.
This tournament was organized by the 56 Division with the concept of the Commander Security Force (Wanni) to uplift sports skills of the soldiers under Security Force (Wanni). The best batsman was Private Kurukulasooriya KSIU from 61 Division and Rifleman Madushanka KRRDD from 56 Division was awarded with the best catcher while Rifleman Nishantha Kumara won the place of the best runner of the tournament.
The Commander Security Force (Wanni), Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and Competent Authority for Displaced Personnel in the Northern Province Major General M H S B Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc graced this Ceremonial evening as the chief guest while General officers Commanding of 56, 61 and 62 Divisions, Commanding Officers, Senior officers , Officers of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) and large number of other ranks had gathered to enjoy and witness this cheerful Elle match.
