INTER DIVISIONAL CRICKET TOURNAMENT OF SECURITY FORCE HEADQUARTERS (WANNI)
Inter Divisions Cricket Tournament of Security Forces Headquarter (Wanni) was held ceremonially on 07th August 2014 at 4th Sri Lanka Army Signal Corp’ play ground, Anuradhapura. The main intention of the event was to enhance the sports skills of the soldiers of under commanding divisions. The Commander SF (Wanni) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while all the General Officer commanders of 21, 54, 56, 61 and 62 Divisions Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Officers, other rankers.
There were seven teams participated for the tournament by representing the five division. Headquarters, Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) and Forward Maintains Area (North Central). 54 Division Cricket team won the championship while S/371597 Lance Corporal Manamendra TMTS (25th Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment) was awarded with man of the match.
