INTER DIVISIONAL BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2014 SFHQ (WANNI)
Basketball is one of the most popular games in the world which illustrate the team spirit, power and energy of the players. By confirming talents and skills on the game, the basketball team of 21 Division won the championship by defeating 54 Division after an emphatic contest at the final day of Inter Divisional basketball championship 2014 Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) on 11th September 2014 at the basketball court in Security Force Headquarters (Wanni). The best shooter of the tournament was Lieutenant NAAL Madushanka from 54 Division and Engineer soldier Ranasinghe DM from 21 Division was the best player of the tournament.
The Commander Security Force (Wanni), Competent Authority of Resettlement of Displaced Personnel in Northern Province Major General M H S B Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc was the chief guest of this graceful occasion. Major General PUS Vithanage RSP, Major General Vijerathne USP ndu, The Commander Forward Maintains Area (North Central) Brigadier DS Weerasekara USP, General Officer Commanders, Brigade Commanders, senior officers, officers and large number of other ranks participated for this sporty evening.
This tournament well reflected the disciplinary skilfulness of the soldiers of Security Force (Wanni).
