INTER BATTALION BADMINTON AND CRICKET TOURNAMENT 62 DIVISION
\r\n While performing army’s prime role and task to the nation, even we need to streamline our sport activities to inculcate comradeship, determination, courage and discipline in moulding of a professional soldier. Further it provides good opportunity to get rid of monotones routing works. Having taken it to consideration General Officer Commanding 62 Division Maj Gen B H MA Wijesinghe USP ndu psc has initiated a sports calendar for troops under command to this Division.\r\n \r\n Accordingly Inter Battalion Badminton Tournament was held on 22nd December 2016 at the Divisional badminton court. Total of twenty two different teams represented (Open singles and doubles) by under command Brigades, Battalions and other installations. In conclusion 11 GW and 17 SLNG teams were selected for the finals and 11 GW became as the champions. further Inter Battalion Cricket Tournament was held on 30th December 2016 at the Divisional sports ground. Total of eleven different teams represented by under command Brigades, Battalions and other installations.
