INSPIRING OF THE NORTHERN STUDENTS WITH MASTERPIECES OF SINHALA LITERATURE

According to concept and guidance of General Officer Commanding – 65 Infantry Division, Major Gen Prasad Edirisinghe, organized the distribution of Tamil translations of the novels and short story books written by Martin Wickramamsinghe among the schools in AOR. The set of books were distributed among 4 schools such as Kaneshapuram primary school, Vellankulam GTM school, Mallavi National school, Tharankandal Maha Vidyalaya, Thevampiddy RCGTMS in Manthai West and Thunukkai areas. Event was coordinated and organized by the Brigade Commander 651Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Wasantha Bandara with the patronage of Mr. Kalana. The respective brigades with their battalions organized the distribution of books on 21 December 2022. The Commander 65 Infantry Division graced the major events as the Chief Guest.
