IMMENSE RELIGIOUS EVENTS AND SOCIAL HOSPITALITY PROGRAMS WERE HELD AT NANDIMITHRAGAMA AND BOGASWEWA RESETTLED VILLAGES.

An alms giving program for more than hundred Buddhist reverends was held at Nandimithragama community center on 05 May 2017. This meritorious campaign was mounted on account of the 52ndbirthday and fulfilling of 37th priestly life of the chief incumbent of Pannipitiya, Depanama Sri DhammindaViharaya Rev. DhakunuKebellaweNandalokathero.\r\n\r\nAs the first segment of this series of events, a topical sermon was preached by the Rev. DiurumwelaVineethatheroat night on 04 May 2017 with the participation of resettled communities in nearby villages and troops of military establishments under command to Security Force (Wanni) Area of Responsibility.\r\n\r\nAs another charitable campaign, all the students (590) of BogaswewaMahaVidyalaya were donated Uniforms, stationaries and other essential school items at the morning on 05 May 2017. Coincide with that 65 pregnant mothers were provided lunch and dry ration packets and all the villagers who were presence at the occasion had a delicious lunch.\r\n\r\nThe chief incumbent of Pannipitiya, Depanama Sri DhammindaViharaya Rev. DhakunuKebellaweNandalokathero and the donors club of the temple financially aided for entire events from the provision of Rs. 450,000.00.\r\n\r\nAll these events were initiated under the supervision and direction of the Commander Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Major General RuwanKulatunga. The Civil Coordinating Affairs branch of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) gave their immense contribution to make success this event by coordinating with 56 Division and its under command Brigades and Battalions.\r\n\r\nHundreds of Buddhist Reverends in Vauniya, Madawachchiya, \r\nKabithigollewa, Padhawiya and Welioya represented the alms giving.\r\n\r\nThe General Officer Commanding of 56 Division, the Brigade Commanders of 561,563 Brigades, several Senior Officers, Officers and large number of civilians gathered in this occasion.\r\n\r\n
